Paris, December 14th, 2017 – Gameloft, leader in the development and publishing of mobile games, and Sega today announce that the long-awaited Sonic Runners Adventure will be available December 20 on the App Store and Google Play. And to make sure players keep pace with the fastest hedgehog in the world, the game can be pre-ordered on the App Store today. This allows the game to be automatically downloaded the moment it’s available on the App Store.
Gameloft’s teams worked closely with SEGA to capture everything at the core of the celebrated Sonic saga. Iconic art and music from the original Sonic Runners game developed by SEGA have been adopted into this brand new title.
“We are very happy to be bringing such an iconic game to smartphones and tablets,” said Baudouin Corman, Senior Vice President Sales & Marketing at Gameloft. “It was a truly exciting challenge to find the right balance between ensuring an incredible feeling of speed for players, and providing them with a game that’s accessible to everyone. We cannot wait to share it with our fans and those of the franchise.”
“We’re really pleased to be working with Gameloft to offer fans a game that brings 20 years of history to life in unexpected ways,” added SEGA Networks Inc’s COO, Naoki Kameda.
